Las Vegas-based gambling company GameCo has announced the launch of iGameCo, a brand focusing on the company’s efforts in esports betting and skill-based iGaming.
iGameCo will debut with three synergistic offerings: skill-based iGaming, freeplay gambling, and esports betting. The trinity of wagering products will be available for regulated mobile casinos and sportsbooks both domestically and internationally.
iGameCo will arrive equipped with a full-service esports betting solution built specifically for the North American sports betting market. The application will combine an esports data platform developed by Berlin-based GRID with a desktop and mobile frontend offering odds and trading for regulated esports betting.
Blaine Graboyes, CEO and Co-founder of GameCo, commented on the launch in a release: “iGameCo is the culmination of years of research and development in combining video games and esports for regulated casinos and we’re proud to bring our leadership in land-based Video Game Gambling to digital casinos and sportsbooks. We invented the first-ever skill-based games for retail casinos and now we’re expanding the category to bring this experience to regulated gaming markets worldwide, providing casinos with the products to attract and monetize the next generations of customers.”
In March, GameCo and GRID partnered to deliver esports betting products in North America. The collaboration was designed to provide real-time feeds of official data and “unlock the potential of esports for casinos and sportsbooks.”
The premiere of iGameCo will be complemented by a Casino Service Industry Enterprise License granted to GameCo by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement last week. The license will enable the company to bring its diverse portfolio of offerings, including esports betting, to New Jersey casinos and sportsbooks.
GameCo currently holds gaming licenses in over 25 jurisdictions across North America and Europe. The company will leverage its market share and industry expertise to prep the runway for iGameCo’s success in the iGaming and esports betting markets in the United States. The release noted iGameCo has several partnerships and programs which will be announced in the coming weeks.
Esports Insider says: It’s been a red-letter week for GameCo who has now received approval from the New Jersey DGE and unveiled its esports-focused branch. Considering the increased awareness of esports betting globally, the time is ripe for iGameCo, and its partner GRID, to make an impression in the North American market.
