Aleksandar Rakic earned the biggest win of his career Saturday when he outworked Anthony Smith in the UFC on ESPN+ 33 main event.
Rakic (13-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) had the advantage over Smith (32-16 MMA, 8-4 UFC) in all three rounds of the light heavyweight headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, taking a unanimous decision for his fifth win in six UFC appearances.
With the performance, Rakic now finds himself in the discussion with the top names at 205 pounds after Jon Jones vacated the title. He wants a crack at the gold next, but does it make sense?
