UFC on ESPN+ 35 reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media

Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums, and – perhaps most importantly – social-media platforms.

Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.

Following Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+ 35 in Las Vegas, several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.

Check out some of those reactions.

Hey everyone, aside from my foot possibly having a small fracture or two, I also had to get a few stitches. 🤕I’ve had stitches a few good times, but this might be a first from competition! 🙄 So, about last night… I truly felt confident that I’ve done enough to prepare for fight week ( I credit this feeling to my training partners and my coach’s efforts) . My coaches were amazing all the way through, but I can’t express how disappointed I am in myself for not listening as well as I thought I was throughout camp. My coaches worked with me many times on correcting my movement and countering her head kicks and being the aggressor. I still don’t have a reason why I was moving the wrong way 😓 so the next few days I’ll be evaluating my performance and probably be really hard on myself. 💔You guys…it breaks my heart to see I had won the first two rounds and then to get finished with 1 minute remaining. I would like to mention that I’ve had 50+ fights and @sabinamazo is the first to finish me without going to decision. Congrats to her🙏🏻 Come next week, I’ll be moving forward and working towards success. Good news is I should be able to bounce back pretty quickly, but first I want to let my body heal, and work on correcting mistakes so that I don’t repeat them in my next competition. I want to sincerely thank @boltwrestling, @saeksonmuaythai , @cobrinhabjjhq for everything they have done for me. I’m truly excited and honored to be working with this dynamic coaching duo/trio! 🥦💦 A special thank you to @sportrd_clint and @the_angry_dietitian / @ufcpi for all of their efforts and care throughout fight week! The meals were so delicious and thank you for your time in making sure everyone has a good weight cut- you guys are so appreciated 🙏🏻 To my fans and keyboard warriors, thanks you for all the messages/comments (mean and nice). I appreciate that I have people who care and chime in on my efforts; I understand it’s the fans that keep this sport going and I truly am grateful for the chances I get to entertain you all with my skill sets on the @ufc platform 👊🏼 🙏🏻 @blackhousemma @boltwrestling @trifectasystem @hotsuit @reebok @rewireperformance @ufcpi
